Extension Care Guide
Styling your clip in extensions will be a breeze. When you first pick up your custom clip in extensions they will be washed and styled to best match your everyday look. You may refresh the style as needed, but you do not need to wash them often. For a small fee you may bring your extensions back in for a fresh wash and style. If you are washing them at home, please do not use volumizing, plumping, detox or purple shampoo. These products will ruin the texture and color of your extensions. Only use professional hydrating products if you prefer to wash and style them yourself. Heat styling should be done using a heat protectant and medium heat (380 or below). For best results, refresh your pieces with the Halo Couture Spritz Spray after each wear.
Styling
Sleeping in your extensions is not recommended as it will cause a knotted, tangled mess. After each wear please refresh with the Halo Spritz Spray. You may take your clip ins out and store them hanging upright in a silk pillowcase or lay them flat on your counter, dresser, etc. Be sure to use care when clipping, brushing, styling, and storing your extensions.
Sleeping
Because your extensions will come freshly washed and styled you will not need to service them for awhile. If you wear your clip in's everyday it is recommended you wash once every 2-3 months. If you wear them occasionally, you will need to service them only twice a year. For a small fee you may drop them off at the salon and I will wash and style your custom clip in's for you! If you'd like to wash them yourself, only use professional hydrating products. Use of volumizing, detoxing, or purple shampoo will ruin the texture and color of your custom pieces.
Cleaning
Swimming in your custom clip in's is not recommended. While your pieces are made with 100% human hair, the alterations made to them are not suited for chlorine or salt water. Swimming can cause tangles, unwanted changes to color, and changes to texture of hair. Please take them out before swimming and store them properly for best results.
